In the summer of 2005, we thought it might be fun to make
beach bags for our hometown lake, Lake Acworth.
We made about 30 beach bags and hoped to sell them at a local
Labor Day festival. We sold only about 4 or 5 bags.
We did however make a few wooden signs with the
same design as the bags- totally as an afterthought-on scraps of hardwood flooring and beadboard. They sold out in about an hour and that
was the beginning of the idea. We now have over 2000 different signs.
As we've grown, we've remained passionate about one thing.
Connecting with customers.
We love the "That's what my mom used to say" or the
"I can't believe they have a sign from my home town"
The slogans and inside jokes from the local areas like KnoxVegas and
C'mere Once are the fruits of listening to our customers.
We thank our customers for each and every sign idea they've
given us. We're here because of them.
See us at the AmericasMart Atlanta gift show in January.
See us at the January Chicago Mart or the March Minneapolis Mart;
Or find our signs at more than 300 stores nationwide.
We started as The Maple Drive Workshop and in 2009 after trademarking
Go Jump in the Lake, we became Go Jump in the Lake LLC.
Thanks for your interest and support. We hope
you enjoy your handmade wooden sign from
Go Jump in the Lake!
Sincerely; Laurie, Lee and Natalie Dayvault
